A Designer's Guide to Picking Colors from Images

Find Inspiration in Any Image

Ever seen a photograph or a design with a stunning color palette and wished you could use those exact colors in your own project? Our Image Color Picker makes it possible. Simply upload any image, and our tool lets you select any pixel to instantly identify its color code. It’s the perfect utility for web designers, graphic artists, and anyone looking to create harmonious color schemes.

Understanding Color Codes: HEX, RGB, and HSL

Our tool provides the three most common color code formats used in digital design:

  • HEX (Hexadecimal): The most common format for web design, represented by a # followed by six characters (e.g., #FFFFFF for white). It's the standard for CSS and HTML.
  • RGB (Red, Green, Blue): Defines a color by mixing red, green, and blue values, each ranging from 0 to 255. Widely used in digital design and photography (e.g., rgb(255, 255, 255)).
  • HSL (Hue, Saturation, Lightness): An intuitive model where Hue is the color type (like red or blue), Saturation is the intensity, and Lightness is how bright it is. It's great for creating color variations.
